1. Data Retention and Destruction:

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as required by law. Once the purposes are achieved, we securely destroy or anonymize the data.

2. Secure Destruction Methods:

We employ industry-standard secure destruction methods appropriate to the data type and storage medium. This includes:

- Digital data: Secure erasure software, physical destruction of storage devices

3. Request for Erasure:

- Clients may request the deletion of their personal information at any time. Upon verification, we will:

- Delete all personal data associated with the client's account

- Remove the client's data from our active systems and backups

When anonymizing data for research or product improvement purposes, we follow best practices to ensure irreversible de-identification:

- Remove all direct identifiers (names, email addresses, etc.)

- Generalize indirect identifiers (location data, job titles)

- Apply statistical techniques to prevent re-identification

4. Third-Party Processors: We require all third-party data processors to comply with this policy and provide contractual assurances of secure data destruction.

5. Exceptions: We may retain certain data if required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., financial records). In such cases, we will inform the client and ensure the data remains securely stored and access-restricted.

6. Employee Training: All employees handling personal data receive regular training on data protection, including proper destruction and anonymization techniques.

7. Audit and Compliance: We conduct regular audits of our data retention and destruction practices to ensure compliance with this policy and applicable laws.
